The housing is anodized on the outside and inside according to the ALODUR method. This anodization is wear-resistant and generally applicable in the industrial sector.

The ALODUR has the advantage of lower surface roughness with approximately the same strength and better durability compared to the conventional hard coat layer.

The end-caps are anodized and have an additional light gray polyester cover.

The coating is produced by a special process which requires a special surface treatment by brushing and sandblasting, followed by electrochemical oxidation of the aluminum surface.

A very good corrosion resistance is achieved as well as a very high surface hardness.

For an increased wear resistance in conjunction with the normal hard anodization, the internal surface roughness was reduced by 40%, resulting in lower friction combined with higher seal longevity.
